PTi’s Support of The Global Village Program
PTi is proud to support Habitat for Humanity and their Global Village Program of Orange County the past 7 years. We believe in the great people that travel abroad the help the appreciative people in these great communities of need. The building of housing units to raise families and protect young ones, give the people a deeper sense of community that benefits and improves their enrichments of life. It is our privilege to support the individuals and those that lead these missions abroad. One of those individuals is Davi Wilson, of Orange County. Davi and her son, and a number of associated people with similar and equal desires to help others, have made their collective mission in personal touch and given felt in a number of countries around the world.
IMPROVING THE HUMAN CONDITION BY GIVING BACK
“I often struggle to explain why I volunteer for Habitat. Why would someone take time away work and family only to give their time away in another form of “work”? My choice to do so has baffled friends and loved ones for years who have witnessed how hard I work at my career and raising a my son as single mom. I have always felt very clear within myself that this is what I am supposed to be doing. As each attempt to explain myself fell short, I eventually resorted to responding, “It doesn’t so much feel like a choice as it does a calling.” So why do I volunteer? I volunteer because I can, because I’ve been granted the desire, strength, knowledge, resources and opportunity to do so. I volunteer for those whose circumstances don’t allow them to. I volunteer in hope that it will inspire others to do the same. I volunteer because it fills a space in my life that money, possessions, titles and awards have never been able to do. I volunteer because each day on this earth is a gift, and the least I can do is to give back in return.” — Davi Wilson
