New VxRail: performance and simplicity
Everyone knows data is growing fast ― but have you heard the pace of change is, if anything, accelerating?
To keep up with this explosive growth, there’s a clear need for a different approach to deploying scalable fabrics. Next-generation hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) needs to tackle manageability, efficiency and of course scalability ― while also reducing costs and lowering innovation risks.
Dell EMC provides a proven, fully integrated and adaptable infrastructure. The latest major additions to our HCI offer include a software-only release of VxRail with OS10 SmartFabric Services. From December this will be built into RTS hardware ― and then, in January next year, Partners should be aware of the new 4.7.100 release to web for current customers as well as in new RTS hardware.
The new VxRail release offers performance improvements, increased efficiency and configuration flexibility, and simplified lifecycle management, while SmartFabric Services automates up to 98% of the network configuration1 steps for HCI environments. Other SmartFabric features include the ability to ability to form VxRail clusters automatically, to operate networks as HCI user, through VxRail Manager, to integrate with VMware applications, and to ensure elastic network provisioning. Dell EMC’s joint engineering relationship with VMware in the manufacture of VxRail appliances is truly unique. No wonder they’re the #1 leader in hyper-converged systems2.
